Blast Cleaning Technologies hires Carole Koz as New Account Development Manager

Blast Cleaning Technologies, a division of Metcast, is pleased to welcome back Carole Koz in the capacity as New Account Development Manager. Carole brings to this position 24 years of experience in air blast and wheel blast in the foundry and contractor market(s). Carole will be responsible for new account development, managing corporate accounts and marketing. Carole is a respected leader and team player and is delighted to be back with the company to maximize new business development.

Blast Cleaning Technologies Holds In-Plant Training Classes

Company News - May 2014

Blast Cleaning Technologies recently held Phase I of continued Plant Operation and Maintenance Training classes at multiple customer sites. The training presentation materials were customized to model the customer’s process and types of blast equipment. Bob Schoen, Training Manager and Instructor for Blast Cleaning Technologies, focused on a complete review of current processes and finishing practices.  Training with operators, maintenance and managers was followed up by an equipment review and hands on training with all attendees. Multiple classes were held each day to accommodate all shifts.

Highlights included:
-  Troubleshooting Blast Wheels
-  Tracking your abrasive usage and loss
-  Wheel efficiency calculator and the importance of a working amp meter and hour gauge
-  The importance of checking your separator setting daily
-  Blade wear and knowing when to change tune up kits

The showcased equipment included:  e-Wheel™ technology and our replacement parts offering for all makes and models of shot blast equipment.  Since development in 2011, leading foundries in North America have achieved significant savings installing the Blast Cleaning Technologies e-Wheel™ with savings across the board; reduced maintenance, less down-time, reduced cycle times and replacement parts costs savings.  The patent pending NuckleSaver™ provides a quick and safe method to changing blades and has received very positive comments from maintenance personnel, who are enjoying the benefits of this simple, yet very smart tool.
